artist statement

"For me, nature is the most exact,

it has always attracted me and it is

my love and passion. I paint

so I am complete."

A brief Bio

Alfredo Fuentes was born in Victoria, Ninety Region of Chile. He studied at the University of Chile in Temuco, where he majored as a techical drafstman, specializing in Arquitecture Design and Topography.
Years after moving to Canada he studied Arts at the Art Centre - Central Technical School and Sculpture at Al Green Sculpture Studio School in Toronto.


Alfredo Fuentes specializes in painting landscapes transmitting his love found anywhere from the mountains and valleys of Chile to the rivers, lakes and ponds around Toronto.


“For me, nature is the most exact, it has always attracted me and it is my love. I was always good at hiking and fishing by the Andean Cordillera in Chile, which has inpired my paintings recreating from nature, in doing so, I am complete.
